Ode to My Hands

Izona Bock

The red fluid knows these walls better than I
They enter these gentle projections of my palms
Delivering their gifts of love
Without which blue, limp, coldness would reside
This change in energy becomes movement
Playing a piano, drawing, writing, exploring
And leaving the appearance of smooth, soft and lovable skin
Do you know that they are emotional orifices?
Places of storage
Places of relief
To a hungry child
A sad friend
They are the voice of the originator
Who has been and will be
'Til the end of my time
Listen to the originator
Listen to the originator.
