New York City, NY

Where you grew up: Charlottesville, VA

Goals (medical school and beyond): As part of the biofabrication team at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, I am developing a system to reconstitute burned skin by printing skin cells directly into the damaged tissue. This system will be deployed in combat zones to reduce the mortality rate associated with major burns. If the project goes well, I may stay on to help develop a biofabrication system capable of creating more complex tissues.

Personal Philosophy on life and/or medicine: You only live once, so take every opportunity to experience everything life has to offer.
